On Tuesday, Dr. Eugene Sanders, CEO of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District will unveil the district’s widely-anticipated Academic Transformation Plan. CMSD's academic transformation represents the most comprehensive and ambitious plan in the history of the district and calls for fundamental changes in every aspect of school operations including accountability, support and expectations of all those involved in the education process.
Today, the Ohio Auditor of State (AOS) released the findings of a special audit conducted on the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The special audit was prompted when a CMSD employee reported “a suspicious new vendor” to the Ohio AOS during the district’s 2008 routine financial statement audit.
Cleveland Metropolitan School District officials today announced the 2009 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Trial Urban District Assessment (TUDA) results. Often referred to as the Nation’s Report Card, test results show Cleveland 4th and 8th grade students’ mathematics scores have remained relatively flat and illustrate no significant difference from the 2007 results.
