In response to a public records request, the Cleveland Plain Dealer has received a copy of CMSD’s Fiscal Strategy Compendium, used by the District to assist in strategic thinking and dialogue with internal and external stakeholders about how best to address the current and long term budget deficit.

The fiscal strategy compendium is a compilation of the data and options CMSD has gathered to date, as the District officials continue on an aggressive path toward solving the short term and long term budget challenges.

“The research being conducted by senior leadership is part of a long and involved budget process," said Dr. Roseann Canfora, District spokesperson.   "The public can expect the District to engage all stakeholders, to build on this work and to continue this type of deep investigation in the months ahead." 

Canfora cautioned that the process is incomplete.
