CMSD, Teamsters Local #244 reach agreement

Cleveland, Ohio – The Board of Education of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a two-year agreement reached between CMSD and Teamsters Local #244 through a collective bargaining process that began this spring.

The agreement includes a 5% reduction in pay for this year and a 0% change for next year. 

The District and Local #244, which represents City, County and Waste Paper Drivers, also agreed to employees’ payment of 10 percent of the respective insurance premiums and no new longevity pay differentials.

Under the agreement, longevity pay differentials for existing members of Local #244 will remain at their current rates.
